Romeo and Juliet
at Royal Opera House
The world's greatest love story, Romeo and Juliet, is told through Nureyev's inventive choreography with sumptuous costumes and sets that transport you to the grandeur and bustle of Renaissance Venice.
Prokofiev's exhilarating and memorable score played by the Orchestra of English National Ballet is the very heartbeat of this tragic tale of love and destiny. Rudolf Nureyev's award-winning production of Romeo and Juliet was especially created for English National Ballet in 1977 to celebrate the Queen's Silver Jubilee. The Company has since performed it worldwide to critical acclaim.
