Aida

Aida

at London Coliseum

Price from $ 83.00

Verdi's much loved opera Aida is grandiose opera at its best. The English National Opera's chorus and orchestra under Keri-Lynn Wilson takes on this masterpiece together with an international cast of singers. Sopranos Latonia Moore and Morenike Fadayomi share the title role, and well known ENO artist Gwyn Hughes Jones sings Radamés.

Aida, daughter of the Ethiopian king, is held as a slave at the Egyptian court. She falls in love with the soldier Radamés who returns her passionate feelings. When war flairs between Ethiopia and Egypt Radamés is appointed commander and everyone hopes for the Egyptian army to win, but then Aida realises that an Egyptian win would mean the downfall of her own father....

Aida is a tragic love story filled with betrayal, intrigues and passion. In other words, Italian romatic opera just as it should be.
