After stellar success on Broadway, this exuberant revival of Fiddler on the Roof comes to the West End for a strictly-limited run. One of the most beloved musicals of all time, Fiddler features iconic numbers like "Tradition," "Matchmaker, Matchmaker," "Sunrise, Sunset", and "If I Were a Rich Man."
The story is a classic one. Tevye the milkman, despite being poor, has a good life in the close-knit village of Anatevka: he has his wife Golde, his five beautiful daughters, and a strong faith that guides him. Tevye's top priority is to find husbands for his daughters, so that the next generation may carry on the traditions that he holds so dear. But the young womens' insistence on marrying for love, plus the political changes blowing through through Tevye's tiny community, demand that he open his heart to new possibilities
This production is directed by Trevor Nunn, the man who first brought Cats, Les Miserables, and more to Broadway. The choreography is based on Jerome Robbins' original work. The Playhouse Theater has been specially configured to provide the feel of a "shiveringly intimate chamber musical." Don't miss your chance to see this classic on the West End.
