Shalamar are one of the most successful soul groups of all time, selling 25 million albums worldwide. Formed in 1976, the band enjoyed their first hit single the following year with the Motown inspired medley 'Uptown Festival'.
The 'underground soul club' hits continued with 'Take That To The Bank' in 1978, followed by 'Right In The Socket' and the infectious ‘The Second Time Around’, which dominated the airwaves through Autumn 1979.
In 1982, the whole world fell under the spell of Shalamar with the release of the ‘Friends’ album (which sold over on million copies in the UK) and in particular, 'A Night to Remember' – although it was not perhaps the song but the image of Jeffrey Daniel performing the 'Moonwalk' live on British Television for the first time on Top of The Pops that stopped a nation in their tracks.
Fast forward 35+ years and the band, still with original members Jeffrey Daniel, Howard Hewitt alongside Solar Records Dick Griffey, daughter Carolyn Griffey continue to thrill audiences all over the world with their stage show. "A Shalamar concert is a giant party" says Jeffrey Daniel, "From the moment we step on stage to the moment we finish the audience becomes part of the show - they’re up on their feet dancing and singing along".

The Beach Boys return to London for two nights at the Royal Albert Hall in 2019. You can encapsulate most pop music acts by reciting how many hits they’ve had and how many millions of albums they’ve sold, but these conventional measurements fall short when you’re assessing the impact of The Beach Boys. The band have birthed a torrent of hit singles and sold albums by the tens of millions, but their greater significance lies in the fact that it changed the musical landscape so profoundly that every pop act since has been in its debt. Happily for us all, The Beach Boys continue to create and perform with the same bold imagination and style that marked their explosive debut over 50 years ago. The Beach Boys are led by Mike Love and Bruce Johnston, who, along with Jeffrey Foskett, Christian Love, Tim Bonhomme, John Cowsill, Keith Hubacher, Christian Love and Scott Totten continue the legacy of the iconic American band.
